What Diehard Did On Their Summer Vacation

Oh hi everyone. It’s been sort of a quiet summer for Diehard, at least as far as turning up our amps and making music. We did, however, have the pleasure of performing at two excellent music festivals in June: there was the Battering Room showcase at Northside Fest and the summer kick-off Make Music NY.

We also played a really fun show at Death By Audio with these crazy bands Summer People and HotChaCha. Much beer was flung.

Since then, we’ve been busy traveling, practicing our calisthenics, grilling hot dogs and putting down the final touches on our upcoming full-length debut The Times We Didn’t Have Fun, which will be officially released in September.

Our next show is Monday August 29 at The Rock Shop with Extra Arms and our pals Sexy Neighbors. More shows and a CD listening party coming up in September too. Keep an eye on the shows page for updates.

We Did It!

Thanks to your generous donations, Diehard has raised $6,360 to fund the recording of our first full-length album. We are amazed and touched that so many friends and strangers pitched in to this effort, and we cannot wait to get the finished product into your hands.

Diehard has booked studio time the first two weekends in April to record the rest of the tracks. We’ll be working with Grammy-nominated producer Andrew Schneider at Loho Studios on the Lower East Side where artists like Yo La Tengo and Patti Smith have recorded. Expect photo and video updates from the studio so you can see your pledges at work.
